We're sorry. Actually, no we're not.
Sharing a name with the Irish city but none of the charm, this Montgomery County township trades centuries of Celtic poetry for nuclear power plants and outlet mall mediocrity. It's like someone heard 'Limerick' and thought 'Let's build the most aggressively suburban place possible and slap that name on it.'
The crown jewel of Limerick is literally just a strip mall next to a nuclear reactor where tourists complain about no WiFi while hunting for 'deals' that aren't actually deals. The most exciting thing about shopping here is wondering if that glow is from the Limerick Generating Station or your credit card bill.
Nothing says 'premium suburban living' like having your neighborhood outlet mall advertise itself with views of cooling towers. Residents pay Montgomery County prices for the privilege of explaining to visitors that yes, that really is a nuclear plant visible from the Coach outlet.
It's the kind of place where the biggest local controversy is probably whether the Starbucks line at the outlets is too long, and residents consider an hour-long slog toward actual civilization a reasonable trade-off for 'good schools.' It's a town that peaked at 'ample parking' and never looked back.
