The valet at every mediocre bistro acts like they're doing you a favor while your Honda Civic sits between two Teslas whose owners are definitely behind on payments.
Hollywood's food scene is peak LA cognitive dissonance: $200 wagyu at Gwen sitting three blocks from a Thai restaurant in a strip mall that's somehow better than anything you'll find on Sunset. You've got James Beard winners slinging $40 pasta while tourists line up at Johnny Rockets because they think that's 'authentic Hollywood dining.' The real tragedy is watching food bloggers try to make Musso & Frank's century-old mediocrity sound revolutionary.
Your server at any Hollywood restaurant is definitely working on their 'craft' and will absolutely tell you about their upcoming short film while taking 20 minutes to bring your overpriced cocktail. They've been 'between projects' for three years, which means they've had two background roles and a commercial for a personal injury lawyer.
